Alex joined Challenger Limited in July 2006 and was a Portfolio Manager in the Smaller Companies Team. Prior to joining Challenger, Alex was at Macquarie Securities Australia from 1992 as Senior Analyst, Emerging Leaders Group.
At Macquarie, Alex’s responsibilities included identification, research and formation of smaller companies investment recommendations to institutional and retail clients. The role also included working with the Equity Capital Markets group in assessing initial public offering (IPO) opportunities, valuation of unlisted companies and merger and acquisition scenario analysis as well as responsibility as the primary analyst on IPO’s and equity transactions.
